Description
The European free-tailed bat is one of the biggest species of bats in France! Its wingspan can measure up to 40 centimetres. Its long and narrow wings allow it to fly long distances and up to 300 metres high. On summer nights they are easily recognised by their characteristic “tsick-tsick” sounds that it emits every one or two seconds depending on its activity.
