Description

Mediterranean heather has a multitude of bell-shaped pink flowers that cover it until the end of autumn. Contrary to its many of it cousins, it does not shy away from calcareous soil, making it a species that can be found everywhere in the Calanques. Its spray of pink flowers can therefore be easily admired along the National Park’s trails.

Did you know?

Its minuscule pink flowers are among the last ones to be visited by bees gathering pollen and nectar during the winter in the Calanques.
