Description
This bat lives in caves throughout the year. It has a rounded forehead, a very short snout and very small triangular ears. At night, it can travel several tens of kilometres to hunt. It flies quickly, up to 60km/hour, enabling it to capture prey such as moths, mosquitoes and beetles, as it flies with its mouth open.

Did you know?
This bat hibernates on the roof of caves from which hangs with its head down, liking to rest whilst clustered together with its peers to keep warm. They form colonies that can exceed 2000 individuals per square meter!
